There are many ways to describe Queen Dej, but unique, talented, and charismatic just seem to scratch the surface. However, there is one word that ties them all together and is true to their character: Queen Dej is Real. Few people flow so honestly from their heart and soul. Queen Dej was born in Windsor, ON, Canada to an ABSENT African American Father and a Native American absent ‘mother’ who always chose men over her children, which made early/crucial home life complicated from the choices she made. 

Growing up between the two countries (Canada/America), whilst being sexually assaulted at a young age (not family), going to numerous schools and living with her dads hard drug addiction is what she thought life was unfortunately about.
Going into her 20’s dealing with homelessness, more physical, mental and emotional abuse, then in relationships. Queen has ALWAYS turned to hip-hop and rnb for comfort. 

Detroit is where she calls home; high school in Wichita, KS (nightmare during hurricane Katrina); molded by college in New York City at 17.

Queen has also done extra work on NBC for Saving Hope season 1 episode 10 'New Beginning'. Air date : August 23rd 2012.

Travelling to the East Caribbean (photoshoots with Spice Vibe Magazine Photographers), South America and Europe (Alone) her musical influences have always ranged.

She's also certified as a physical therapist and ESL teacher as her 9-5.

A versatile Hip-Hop artist and naturally knowledgeable force with unfathomable intellectual strength, crafty and witty REAL LIFE lyricism skills, eclectic/classic beat selection and flow, melodies, as well as sickening wordplay.

She didn’t always, but for the past 6 years, learned to love herself first. 

Investing in herself as no one else ever has, she owes it all to her great grandmother who molded her before her passing in 2008.
